This project involved a TRD Pro Tundra that came to us after the owner hit a deer and severely damaged the front bumper. The customer wanted both the front and rear bumpers replaced, along with all auxiliary lighting installed and wired cleanly for everyday use.
The front bumper installation was definitely the more time-consuming portion of the project due to alignment and fitment. Once everything was properly aligned, we modified the wiring to allow the fog lights to operate from the factory switch rather than using the supplied RC setup, which required unnecessary extra switches. We also routed and installed the light bar harness with a clean in-cab switch setup.
The rear bumper installation went smoothly overall, with only a few modifications needed along the way. This included relocating the rear airbag valves into the bed, extending the rear pod light harnesses, and wiring in the new license plate lights. The current plate lights will be swapped out soon due to poor quality from the manufacturer.
Overall, this build completely transformed the look of the truck while also adding additional lighting and safety for the customer. We’re proud of how this one turned out, and even more importantly, the customer was thrilled with the final result.
Big thanks to Gary and his family for trusting Currence Services & Fabrication with the project and for the garage space to keep us out of the rain!
