This project from late summer involved a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a major frame failure at the driver-side torsion bar crossmember. Unfortunately, the customer purchased the truck without knowing the damage was already present.

To repair the issue, we used a combination of bottle jacks, adjustable clamps, and new steel to properly realign and reinforce the frame. Once the frame was leveled back into position, the crack was fully welded, the damaged section of the frame was removed, and a new piece was carefully fitted and welded in solid.

If you or someone you know has discovered hidden frame damage after purchasing a used vehicle, give Currence Services & Fabrication a call. We can help turn a stressful situation into a safe and reliable repair.

Big thanks to Bradley for trusting us with the job!
